Hello everyone! Have you seen Harry Potter movies? Your reply is probably 'YES!' So, have you ever wondered how does it feels to own a wand with a bright light at it's tip? That's just a Awesome feeling! Trust me. I've personally used it. After all, It's created by me. Now, I will be showing you how to make a illuminating wand in a simple way! :)
Requirements:
1) A wooden Stick (It should be in circular shape as shown in the picture.)
2) Some water colors. (Normally the color of wand is brown, So I am using brown color.)
3) News Paper.
4) Lot of Glue (White colored would be best!)
5) Soft Clay. (The color of the clay should match the color of the wand)
6) Small LED bulb (White colored)
7) 3 button cells.
Procedure:
1) Grab the wooden stick and color it brown.
2) Now, let it dry on a piece of news paper.
3) Take some news papers and tear them into small pieces. Soak them in water for at least 30 min. (1 hour is BEST!)
4) After that, remove the pieces from water and mix glue with them. Ratio - 1 (News paper) : 2 (Glue)
(Wet News paper pieces + Glue forms Paper Mache)
5) Now, before the paper mache dry, quickly make the base of the wand (Where you grab the stick.)
6) It's kind of difficult but do your best. Design it according to your choice. (I've designed it like a old tree.)
7) Now, Let the paper mache dry (It takes really long time. It might take 1 day)
8) After It's completely dried, color the paper mache (The holding part of wand) a little dark as compared to the color of the wand.
9) Let the color dry.
10) Now for the illumination, the circuit is shown below. Make it as it is!
11) To join the illumination circuit with the wand just use clay. Apply some clay on the tip of the wand and apply some below the circuit and press it from above It'll easily stick to the wand.
12) Remember, when you will close the circuit ( That is when you will connect both the wires) the LED Bulb will glow!
13) That's it! Now enjoy! :)
